Easter Weekend: Paihia
I'm Finally blogging abt my Easter weekend in Paihia with 2 crazy women. It's always good to think abt happy memories after a shit day, eh? OH you rather hear abt my shit day? hahaha gees, calm down, i won't start whining abt my shitty day, gees!! i know u dun wana hear it...!!
Anyways, so Serene the ditz arrived on Early Friday morning, and after introducing her to the evils of Grainwaves (which she carried abt 20packs back to Mel cos oz is grainwaves deprived - i'll see you back at the weighing scales soon girl...) we got some sleep, only to be rudely disturbed by Jeny the next morning (yes she was on time dammit). Went to supermarket which was unexpectedly closed (i didn't know it closes in easter!!) anyway, had lunch - chickenrice, yum...and departed. Got stuck on the motorway for aGGEss....and finally arrived at paihia at like 5pm ...nearly 6 hrs in the car...man!
But at least Jeny was clever enough to book a room with a nice view for us, even if it costed a bit more!
After settling in we went to the beach for a walk ard and to get to know the place. It was a nice beach, and we had a discussion abt the turtle-like looking hills over the horizon when you look out at the beach (as you can see in the photo below if that huge-ass girl on the right didn't block your view...it DOES look like a turtle eh?
Anyways, after debating on whether we shud have dinner on the beach or at home (we decided that serene had to experience fish and chips on the beach - a NZ culture..not fIIIIIISh and chiiiiiips), but due to tiredness of the pple we elected to go to takeaways for veges and had instand noodles back home. THanks to jeny who cooked. We relaxed that night, having some drinks (vodka+lemon....hehehe) and watched "I guess I guess i guess guess guess" (a taiwanese variety show where you guess stuff). Many episodes we watched, i think, the one that can come to mind rite now is one where there are 5 girls with beautiful legs and we have to guess which one of them is the winner of the beautiful leg contest. Many have nice legs, and the face...well....different matter. But it created topics of discussions, and i never knew that Jeny and miss pork liked to critise and compare the girls on the TV show so much!! (all in good fun tho...hehe) Anyhows, for all you folks out there who also want to join in the action, here's something for you to critise
Porkchops did i hear you say? Oh that lady over there - did you say turnips!? and that old grandpa at the back - did you mention something abt elephant legs? Wow...I knew this would generate HOT discussion!!
Anyhows, woke up nice and early the next morning and walked to the cruise. Paihia has some pretty nice view and combine them together with hot guys gives u pics like this

Anyways, we got on the cruise - which was to see the hole in the rock and dolphins in the wild. Big wind on the cruise, we went to the top deck and later migrated to the front of the boat. Nice view ard the bay!! On the cruise some random girl decided she want a photo with me - ahwell - so what the hell, i decided to put on my best face and make it a memorable foto for her to take home to her mummy.
Unexpectedly, those sleek animals arrived, heraled by screams from our boat and the neighbouring boats!! Unfortunately i wasn't quick enoughh with the camera to catch photos of them jumping ard, but here's the closest I got:
And Jeny, being the more aggressive and faster-fingered one, caught this:
So for all you dolphin lovers out there - they'r really cute out in the open. Especially Baby dolphins!! But alas i dun think anyone is paying attention to me cos those "dolphin lovers" are probably more engrossed wif their boyfriends rite now to care anything abt wat i'm rambling on abt or showing, but anyhow back to topic...we got to the hole in the rock, and it amazingly looked like,
By that time the boat was rocking way too fast for any of us to take proper photos...
Anyways, we got back from the cruise, went to woolsworth for a quick refill of our supplies and lunch which consisted of smoked salmon sandwiches and youghurt. Jeny drove us to the quadbike's place.
Ignore those Chi-Na pple in the background cos they can't drive the bikes, infuriatted the tour leader and shortened the 2hr ride into like a 1 hr one on a crappy course so of cus, we all fell in love with those Chi-Na-Men. Of cus, Jeny's mental-waves of wanting those pple to fall off the cliffs were readily noticeable. But despite that Jeny the motorgirl enjoyed herself
And she's definitely coming back!! So watch out you Chi-Na pple!! She's gona crush you and ride all over you in the future.
(no offense to the rest of the mainland, we're jus pissed wif THOSE pple only)
Anyhow sounds like miss porkhead got a hit out of the ride too, after all she had me to push her from behind the whole waY!! (okok that is not true, haha, she rode like a pro)
For me? well, since the ride was so shaky it irritated my bowels and colon so much that i had to...u know...*face turning red*
WEll - when one's gotta do it, its gotta be done rite? And who give's a shit anyways? its good to get in touch wif nature sometimes.
Well, to end the day off, we went to Haruru Falls which was like a mini version of nigara falls, really mini and crappy. Not that you can see the falls from this picture, but JEny seemed like she enjoyed introducing it to the world
And Miss swollenface, due to the overdose of "i guess" show, decided that she is also a "sunshine girl" (in chinese) *coughcoughcoughcough*
Yea, I know, she's the sunshine girl cos when you'r ard her she blocks all the sunshine away from you...yea....pity eh...
WE then went to the Treaty of Waitangi place, which tried to charge us $10 each for going in so we left without any photos.
Anyhows, that nite, Jeny was tired so me and serene went for a jog ard the beach and ended up going shoppingg for tourist stuff at night. WE bought 2 pizzas and Kumara chips home (again, miss chocolateaddict became addicted to it), had a feast, watched more i guess, and went to sleep.
The next day Miss porklegs decided that she was evil so left me out of the jog, so me and jeny woke up, cleared the place (more like jeny did and i watched), loaded the car, and headed home.
And the events later that day...well....I'll do that in another blog.
