A Good Life
Theatre this morning was "cancelled" cos patient didn't turn up, and i went to hang out with the audiologist and watch them condition kids to listen and respond to sounds. Spent the whole morning chatting to Tanya, who was a chemistry teacher before doing medicine. Then was at clinic in the afternoon with this Italian consultant who was pretty nice, even though the clinic wasn't half as interesting as the Tuesday one (with this talkative south african consultant who was also pretty good). Came home and went for a run.
My typical day.
*(the following is a list of "isn't it nice" appreciations, excessive length and boredom to readers may result)*
Isn't it awesome that I can drive along the South-west motorway and get home from manukau in like 25minutes?
Isn't it nice that when i got home, it was still bright, and I have the energy to go for a run, complete my usual course without stopping? (even though this intermediate kid overtook me)
Isn't it nice that when i arrived home, the house was warm and smelt of awesome tasty food waiting for me by mum?
Isn't it nice that there's a piano for me to play after dinner, and there's a dishwasher that mum decided to use today so i don't have to wash dishes?
Isn't it nice that mum was around to kill the huge cockroach and huge bee that appeared before and during dinner time for me?
Isn't it nice that mum is really good with book-wrapping and just wrapped three of my textbooks for me?
Isn't it nice that dad allowed me to order 3 textbooks from Amazon last friday, and they arrived on tuesday already, right in time for me to use this week?
Isn't it nice that mum still makes sandwiches for me in the morning and cooks warm noodle/rice/porridge to warm me up in the mornings?
Isn't it awesome that I dun even have to set the alarm clock and mum will wake me up in time?
I am way too dependent, and i mean that in a good way = )
