I was fumbling around the blogger site and accidentally clicked change template and lost the tagboard and music. Luckily I managed to figure out how to find the html codes to post it back on again...
Anyways, ENT is finished. It certainly was interesting.
Love rainy Fridays, i don't have to feel guilty about staying in.
3 weeks till Australia. That sounds exciting!!
Apparently Vid booked this place for us to live in: http://newcastleapartments.biz
It looks awesome...!! I am looking forward to the trip definitely, but as always, i'm slightly worried abt being in a new environment, new pple to interact wif, new-ish culture etc.
Ah well.
Got one more week of Urology and 2 weeks of geriatrics to get through first.
Worry about those later ^_^
One of my friends wants to be an ENT surgeon - its interesting to see how he tries to get "recognised" in that department. really, medicine is all about who you know and your relationship with those pple. To do what you want to do, you need to have good relationships with your superiors and they have to like you so they'll support you and give you good references. And he's like doing 3 research with them and is definitely showing interest in being in ENT.
So mum is like, well other pple have their interests, where's yours?
The fellow in ENT (this aussie guy), said its ok, he didn'tt know what he wanted to do till quite late either, but he knew he wanted to do soemthing with surgery.
ME? i don't even know if i want to do surgery.
I guess to be truthful to myself, I think its tending towards a "no" at the moment.
But I think as i have mentioned on blog here before, there's several factors that is influencing this decision, and self confidence is a main part of it. I mean, otherwise, i would be able to say that i'll go ahead and try to achieve what i want to, rite? And not be scared by the "culture" that surgery is associated with...
in some ways for me to say i want to do surgery, is similar to me saying i want to become a basketball player.
I guess the other hard thing is to get me to commit. I mean, after a certain amount of time in one specialty, you kinda get "sick" of it. In a way.
Anyhows, hope you like the new outlook of the blog.
