Weekend
This weekend had been nice. Like a continuation of my holidays. Of cus no work of any sort was done.
I'm actually quite tired now but i thot if i don't briefly blog abt this weekend then i'm not doing my blog and myself any justice ...^^"
Friday after lec a group of pple from my class decided to come to my house to cook lunch and stuff. Well that was the initial plan except certain ppls got too hungry so we ended up eating at foodcourt in st lukes instead. Had some shanghai noodles, bought them and THEN saw better malaysian food ard the corner instead!! damn...
Anyway ended up at my house wif mostly a group of girls and mike. Vatsa wasn't there and apparently "went home to get changed"...^^" kinda a lame excuse at that time but i didnt' think much abt it. Ppl wanted to watch DVD but i hav no dvd player. It felt kinda sad cos there was nothing in my house to entertain them besides food!!! Anyhow, vatsa finally arrived and WITH A CAKE!! and they all started singing bday song for me!! wow..that was totally unexpected!!! surprised the hell outta me. Proceeded to do the usual bday stuff except it was all NOT on camera cos MY DIGITAL CAMERA IS BROKEN AND STILL IN TAIWAN!!! =((( and pple didn't bring their camera either. SO i found my old normal camera and it ran out of battery =.= doubt the pics we took would come out. Aiii...so the cake was cut and they proceeded to try to smear the chocolate cake all over my face - except it was a mudcake and it was like a rock...^^" Mike nearly broke my nose trying and vatsa took over. Ended up smearing chocolate icing all over my face....-____- so that was that...
Watched Anaconda 2 after that. Erm...no offence to pple who liked it but it was a whole lot of bull ...=.=" Altho it served its purpose in making me think twice abt going to africa for elective now....i still wana go but...shit! those alligators and crocodiles scare the hell outta me!!! ><"
Ppl started leaving after the movie (cos it was 6 already) and so we hanged out for a while at home. It got kinda boring so vatsa and mike left after shortland st. ^^" i really really couldn't think of any way to entertain ppl! such a bad host. Jenn dani and gina stayed longer - we eventually went to foodtown to get icecream and milk to make oreo milkshake...nice!! yum. They went home after that. Had a nice short chat before they all disappeared tho.
Had a late nite on friday cos...hoon rang me and chatted for a while abt stuff and then i rang home to talk to my dad mum n bro. Finally slept at 330am....
So on sat i was supposed to get to jenn's house at 10am except that was when i got up =P anyhows jenny drove us safely to long bay and we mucked ard at the beach. Jacob was the one that invited us and we kinda intruded on his brother's church group at the same time - eating their food and hanging out wif some of the pple there - playing games. While hoon was the social queen the rest of us mostly kept to ourselves wif jacob and his brother and played soccer and frisbee and tried to catch waves in the sea.
Hoon's friendliness is really something. This guy has changed from being a thick faced annoying dude to a thick-faced but sleek person. Its really something to observe him interacting wif pple - he's gone even more outgoing if that is possible. I really do think the success of his career and social life etc is really helped by his behaviour and stuff like that. Anyway i wont' analyse him rite here...
Man i can't believe how long it has been since i swam in the sea at all!!!! so lonG! can't remember the last time that happened. IT was nice tho except for the salt in my eyes and on my wounds on my face...and in my mouth ...
Hanged out till like 5 and then got home, to find mike waiting outside my house. We then called vivi and mindy over as well and finally, our long-planned-and-anticipated stayover finally got into action!! except mindy didnt' get here till like 7pm and we already watched naruto repeatedly for a while. Lucy brought over these candy thing wif juice inside them that was really yummy!! recommend it to all kids out there.
So we finally got to foodtown again and shopped till nearly 8! i bought like $150 worth of stuff. Mike was gona make pasta, mindy roast chicken and veges, and me jus random stuff. Mindy's chicken was gona take 2 hrs to cook so we staggered out cooking times and eventually admist ps2 playing and cooking it finanly got done. AND WE COOKED TOO MUCH....we all were REALLY full and ate like 50% of the food ...=.=" but it was so much fun tho...definitely need to do this again...so mike lucy and mindy...lets do this again sometime!!
AFter tat it was ps2 time. hehe mike fully got into his soul calibre showing us his skills altho he couldn't really beat us when we were on invincible mode and he's not (altho he DID beat us a few times, thats how good he is)...afterwhich we finished that naruto episode (finally) and fully blown discussion of naruto started. Man...the gossips, the predictions, the character breakdowns, the what's cool and what's not....!!! fun!! all those non-naruto fans out there...man!! u really need to get into it! Naruto is not jus any anime. Its got action (fighting, ninja, jutsu), good themes (your fate is in ur hands...) (you are at ur strongest when you want to protect the ones u love)....(normal pple can defeat a genious thru hard work!)...and its funny and nice plot. Without going really deep like other cartoons - its entertainment without being mindless like dbz but not so deep like spirited away or laputa (i need to watch that again...can't remember it now...someone pls watch laputa wif me again?) So yea...naruto is a must!!!
Anyway mike was supposed to leave by 12am and we chatted abt naruto in the kitchen till liek 3am....^^" that's how interesting naruto's world is ... while lucy and mindy gossiped abt stuff...(duno whaT)...but eventually we dragged lucy into naruto discussion too (Since she's a recent converted fan)...and mindy got bored...and played wif her phone. SHe's obsessed with the games on her phone!!
After mike left me and lucy continued to play this game called mystical heros...we got rite to the last level but the bosses were way too hard...in the end we played till 530 and went to sleep.
Woke up at 11ish this morning and continued on the ps2. hehe....time crisis is fun. THe crisis mode thing is SO HARD!! killing 5 pple in 2 seconds wifout being shot is ....impossible!! and i was standing rite IN FRONT of the tv too!! stil lcant' do it after like 20 tries...aii~~~ me sucks. THe sniper mode was cool tho. After that i managed to convince lucy to stay and hav lunch (And finish off some of the food we cooked last nite)...and then explored a bit of kingdom hearts. It was a nice game!! i really wana play it too!! donald duck is so cute...hehe
Anyhows they eventually left and i went to sleep till like 10pm. Woke up, did the dishes and cleaning and tidied up the house, cleared out the rubbish and stuff...and now its like really late. feelign dizzy...shud really get to zzz!!
But i wana take this chance to thank all the pple that made my weekend awesome. First to mike T and vatsa and Jenn L for getting the cake and organising pple coming over, even tho i made a mess of entertaining and it was so boring at my house! To Jen C for her driving and pushing my boundaries (making me go to sea)...
Thanks Mike C for taking out time to come over...the dinner definitely needed ur presence...i duno, but wifout you there it wouldn't have been as fun!!! Hope u are able to catch up wif ur work and got home safely!! (and remained safe at home?? ><")
Thank you vivi for the dishes...hahah nono i mean thank you for planning this wif me and all the convincing and nagging. And for the ps2 and the entertainment!! And for eating the stuff me and mike and mindy cooked...hehe...= ) thanks for rushing over straight from work...must have been tiring for you! and all the times i asked u to contact mindy n mike etcetc...thanks for all ur work!!! = )
and thanks mindy for the roast chicken - that was the DISH of the nite!! = ) there's still some in my fridge ...will eat it soon!! =)
