London Part 2
Man getting our photo taken there was hard. Pple walk past us when we ask them for help to take a photo - how Rude!! otherwise they just pretend like they dont' understand what we are saying. We get europeans speaking weird languages to us like we understand it. We are in ENGLAND dammit....isn't it appropriate to speak English? I mean i've had enough pple speaking swahili to my face ...and pple don't speak english to me in england!?We then walked to this park nearby (st james?? ) and saw some huge pelicans...
The park is actually quite nice - there's a nice castle there that looks like one of those fairytales, from far away anyway.
Beside that castle we could see the London Eye (or jenny calls it the millenium wheel) so we decided to make our way there. However due to Jenny's sleep deprived and partied out mashed brain state we ended up at...
...the big ben instead! That's westmininster church. I was gutted that we couldn't go in - cos that was where the da vinci code ended rite? Or m i getting it wrong totally? Well it would hav been good to see Isaac newton's grave or something. We also passed by Tony Blair's residence which again ,the whole street was in repair and guarded by police.
So finally we got to the london eye by Thames river.

I just really love how the old buildings contrast with new technology! There's a Dali display on that day too - with interesting statues ard. There was also this humungus line waiting to go on the London eye. WHat's wrong with queueing and this city?! We went to the reception and apparently it's gona take 1 hr to wait in the line, ridiculous. Luckily we found out there was a guided tour that costed a few quids more that we could take which started in 10min! Yay! and there's space!
So me and Jenny waited in line for it and got bored
View of london and the london eye from the top of the wheel. AMazing wheel! Apparently the london eye is the most visited place in London or something like that.
After that nice ride we took the tube to Tower castle and Tower Bridge, which is what pple mean when they refer London Bridge...

I can't remember the name of this nice building but, like that shanghai tower, it looks like a dildo...
You know, i really love how the city contrasts against the river - old buildings, new buildings together with nature. London has such a blended mix of modernism, history and nature - i think its amazing and i wish i had more time to see more.
Oh and i remember talking to dha and him saying how he loved london and how he really like the "soho" area so i asked jenny to take me there. Jenny didn't know where it was (since she's not a londoner) so she called up her friend abt it and apparently its the red light district of london. Hm. Dhabastard. Hehe but to his credit apparently it has really classy bars/pubs/clubs/restaurants there and is a very chic area eh. So would have been interesting i think!
I also now understand why brits drink so much. Its bloody everywhere! I walk into convenience stores along the road and i find supplies of beer and wine and heavy liquor everywhere. Liquor shops are easy to find too. I mean to me its expensive but its probably not expensive if i was to earn money there- with such avaliability, why wouldn't you drink!?
Wow i've covered all the pics i've uploaded alreadY? shit. Erm. I think i will save the second half of the day for the next post but other places i went to
1. Leicester square
2. Covent gardens
3. Camden (i really like that place!)
4. I had shisha!
Hehe so wait for London Part 3~! =)
(I can here Jenny yawning away.....)
