Last week
I'm hoping this is my last week as 5th year student.
Being a 5th yr student sucks.
You go around, spend like less than 4 weeks in a specialty.
No one knows you, sometimes you go to a different hospital or different department everyday.
Meet different pple daily, never any stability.
You meet pple but they forget you since there isn't really any time to get to know anyone..
NOt to mention the background stress of "i'm supposed to be studying or practicing", stopping any useless social interactions.
And even if i have 6 weeks in a specialty, you are not attached to anyone/any team - jus let loose to do your own thing. Don't get me wrong - i enjoy the freedom, but it jus means that no one has any motivation to teach you anything - since you are supposed to do your own study.
And therefore it takes a whole lot more effort and time to hang ard to get experience.
CAn't wait for this yr to be over...
10 days to exams and counting.........

Wow... just think... next year you will be in your final year of med... the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer... aren't you happy? :)
I tell you what... I'm on holiday after my exams in two weeks time... wen you get a chance, leave me a proper date that you're free to go out... and we'll meet up (if you still want to that is)... I still owe you a coffee from way back :) It's not much of a reward... but hey... at least it's something to do after your exams :)
Anyway... I'm really shattered so I'm gonna leave it here...
