Day 3: Kobe, Kyoto and Osaka

Same time this morning - woke up at 6, breakfast at 7, bus by 730.

Went to this small train thing in kyoto - which took us along the tracks. Its like that tranzscenic train thing in the south island where it takes this scenic route. I went to the back of the train where there is open windows to take photos, totally abandoning mum...><" Anyway it was freezing there!! I stayed there thru the whole trip. Its supposed to b really nice there in autumn when the leaves are all yellow and stuff...but now its just...nice. The river beside it was nice too. And then it started raining - which was bad cos my lens got all wet!! and i had to wipe it wif my sleeves b4 taking more photos so my lens is probably scratched ...><"

AFter getting out of the train we went out to the station. I was walking down the stairs when i turned ard and looked at the guy behind me, and he stared back. And I looked away. But he looked quite familiar. So i looked again. I recognise him. But i can't remember who the hell he is. But i know i knew him!! and he seemed to have recognised me a little too cos i havn't noticed other guys look at me that way...
Anyways....i didn't dare to say anything to him cos i thot he was japanese!! cos i recognised him but wasn't 100%....THen i figured out that he was Kelvin from TC whom i met in Hualian 2 yrs ago!! i reckon he shud still know who i am if i mention it...but it felt so...weird!! Going to this totally random place, and meeting someone i know who lives in brisbane and i never kept in touch wif him at all?? (well i talk to his friend online occasionally...VERY occasionally)...but still!!!! I felt stupid tho...i shud have boldly called out and said hi to him!!!! (maybe he wouldn't know who i am anyway...)

Anyhows the reason why i became sure he IS who he is is cos he had this Jansport bag on ... and its like a taiwan thing...which jap person would wear a cheap jansport baG?!?! hehehe (well its not cheap looking but still...anyone who's taiwanese wil know abt jansport)

So then we had lunch at this osaka palace thing which was quite a nice place. THe story goes that there was this king who was at war with this other king. So the other king made a pact that if the first king filled the river ard the castle with soil they'll make peace. So the first king listened to them, and filled the river up, and the second king was then able to attack and enter the castle and take it.

Next we went to Kobe. We were supposed to visit the earthquake museum but the driver found the wrong place...so we saw this "cafe FISH" instead. Wanted to take a photo to show simon but wasn't able to...but i managed to photograph the big fish in front of the cafe.

Next went shopping at this K-mart like place. STupid tour guide took us there...and we starteed shopping for lightbulbs and chairs and mattresses etc....STUPID!!!! luckily i found some pens so i bought some markers and highlighters. Shud hav bought more tho, but i'm depending on the last shopping day for more pen and stationary purchace. So we then went to look ard at more shops b4 going bk to the bus. So rushed. There was a shopping centre nearby too so i wanted to visit that!!!!!!! but i didn't know...aiii~~ so missed out. Hopefully i can shop more soon....hehehehe (kissing daddy's credit card)

Went to this sushi place for dinner - buffet thing where they make the sushi in front of you and you choose 6 topping for the sushi. So full. Nothing special abt the place except you have to pay for all drinks including water (and excluding green tea)...

Back to the hotel.

OHHH the things that made impression on me so far during the trip:

1. traffic lights: in Kyoto, at the intersections, they place this old japanese music whereever the pedestrian traffic light goes off. its quite funny. and cute =P
2. Jap pple: they are so pretty!! both sexes =P All so stylish. THey look liek they'r straight out of those jap soap! all dressed so indivuidualised and neatly. My turtle neck that i borrowed from my brother is obviously not in fashion anymore cos no one wears them....=.=" (wat m i gona do wif my 6 turtleneck jumpers....T___T) ...but yeaH!!! everyone is so nice that i feel so crappy....

So now you understand my drive to buy new clothes.

I shud get baggier jeans eh...instead of ones that just fit me (like barely...i got it tight cos i wana use it as a motivation for me to lose weight!!! so i can fit!!! and i know if i gained wt cos i CANT fit!! ) but....it looks crap. Its a big hassle when i go to toilet too...but you didn't need to know that.

Got some cute naruto stuff...hehe =P nothing special yet...but will look ard more.

3. Jap TV - quite explicit eh. I guess its like europe? Porn is everywhere. Well - u just have to turn on the TV and turn to the pay channel and you can see BJs and girls-with-guys-buried-btw-their-tights-screaming-away scenes. U only get 30sec preview tho b4 they tell you that you hav to press a button and pay to continue to watch. I discovered yesterday i could buy a card to slot into the TV and watch it...but...i didn't ^^
(hey i'm living wif my mum!!!)

Anyway ... naked breasts are easily seen on TV too...jus the other day there was this soap thing i was watching...and it showed this group of young girls running to a spa pool topless....of cus their coconuts were bouncing ard like nobodies business...man!!~~ it was quite hilarious...hahahah =P

So...I think i've been using the net for a long time now...hope they don't start charging me!!!><"

Hmm...going to universal studies 2mr for whole day...hope thats interesting!! =) been there once in LA already b4 10 yrs ago...so it'll b intersting to see see again =)

Will be spending Xmas eve here in Osaka and Xmas in Jap AND taiwan...

I'll still be here tomorrow so i mite blog more if i can be stuffed...but if i don't...

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! =)))

Take care
Eat lots (like me)
